Another doodle.

After yesterday's Zentangle post, when I said I like to doodle on anything, anywhere, I realized I was remiss in leaving out one of my strangest and most meaningful doodle experiences. I posted the whole story of my henna doodles, including more photos, here: http://plbrown.blogspot.com/2010/07/always-bright-side.html. Since this was posted in July, perhaps some of you never saw the original post. Dear friend "C", I know you read my blog so I hope you don't mind my re-posting these photos despite your current good health and full head of curly hair! We still need to schedule a henna-date to paint our arms and hands!

  1. Lovely doodle!

I'm glad your friend is back in good health.

My mother-in-law got breast cancer last year. She was really brave about it. She was so strong! I really admire her for it.
Even when she lost her hair, she was positive: 'come on, it's just something I have to go through'!

She is doing much better now! Her hair is back and more curly than ever.
But a few months ago she told me she put up a face when she was ill. She said: I said I wouldn't mind if my hair fell out if it meant I was getting better! But when I was standing in front of the mirror and I was holding all the hair that fell out I really cried.
We never even saw her with one tear!

I think what you did for your friend is really nice. The lovely art on her head must have made her feel less ill, even if it was just for a short while!
