What we did with our colorful coffee filters

With the school year running out, students had some fun creating with the "tie-dye" coffee filters they had created (with markers and a spray bottle filled with water).

  3. Uh, ok, I'll go to bed as soon as I finish my tea.

Meanwhile, I've got about a million of those big filters! We used up about maybe 80 of them, and didn't even make a dent in the pile, so there's plenty for next year. Yippee!

  5. Hi Walrus, we used regular Crayola markers, not the washable ones. I think a lot of people who do this use washable but I think they move TOO much when wet. The regular ones are also water based but you get a richer color saturation. I wrote more about the process here: http://plbrown.blogspot.com/2011/06/im-not-coffee-drinker-but.html

  6. By the way, Walrus, I always like to see people are when they post a comment - curious about me readers. So it looks like you are starting a new blog. What is it going to be?
