So to make good use of my time today me and my trusty kayak took our first paddle of the season. This strange stump looks like it is going to attack me, don't you think?
Geese. Lots of them, either not moving to make themselves invisible to me, or honking like crazy to get rid of me. And I saw a baby loon jump into the water! Caught me by surprise so no picture.
Me.
This looks so calming! What a great way to spend that gorgeous day.
ReplyDeleteLooks much better than the tornado alley I lived through last night! We didn't have any touchdowns here in Omaha, but the wind and rain sounded like freight trains out of control all night long! What I wouldn't give for a peaceful kayak trip with you!
ReplyDeletePat, I'm glad you are OK. You never know, someday we might just find ourselves kayaking together.
DeleteHey friend...getting ready for the end yet??? Any thoughs of changin' your mind? :) ha ha Have heard there is a mass retirement in our district(not art teachers though) because of all the new changes. We got an e-mail from the state saying they hired 200 teachers across the state to be coaches...and this Aug. they will be taking applications for different subject areas including fine arts! I'm going to apply..not even sure what it is, but by golly...I want to be on the front end of whatever is coming down!!
ReplyDeleteNo mind changing, but I'm so crazy busy getting ready for art show that the end of the school year will just have to wait!
DeleteI think you'd be perfect for this coach thing, as you have always stayed on the top of everything. Go ahead and apply!!
