The last two cars in the lot

These two cars belong to me and friend 'C'. They are frequently the last two cars parked in the school lot. It's cute to see the two hippie cars snuggled together in the lonely lot. At least they have each other. As do me and 'C'. I'm going to miss her next year.

  2. A week and a half seems so far away!!! But it is right around the corner. Your two cars need to get a room. . . so romantic!

  3. Since I teach Elementary Art part time, all that I need to do must be crammed into the two days that I teach (and sometimes I sneak in the afternoon or evening before to set up) and I am often the last car in the lot. People are amazed that I can remain in the building working until past 9 pm often, but when I remind them that their 2 hours of extra work x 5 days a week = 10 hours, and my two days a week = 5 extra hours a day, about the same they understand why I stay so late. It's a good thing my husband totally understands!
You are lucky that your car has a snuggle bunny while waiting for you!

    1. Doing OK. 5 days left and lots to pack and bring home. The dragon left school today, so there is NO dragon in my art room :(

  6. Aww.. Where will ‘C’ be going? Well, enough of the sad thoughts! Just look at it this way: it’s not just cute to see your cars parked in the lot. It’s way cooler for people to think who owned those cars. Haha! It reflects your personalities, in some way. The modern Beetle is cute, while the SUV has floral prints on it. It makes me think what fun and cool teachers you might be!

    1. Ah, Carry, thanks for your comment. But 'C' is going nowhere; it is me. If you were a regular reader of my blog, you'd know I retired in June. So I'm no longer at school every day, and afternoon, and evening... But I am still actively blogging and have lots yet to share, so please keep visiting!

And yes, I like to think me and my buddy 'C' are fun and cool. At least I know that she is!! (And I hope that I am too.) As a matter of fact, just today me and my cute Subaru stopped at the sign guy to replace a couple of my flowers and dragonflies that had been removed due to a bit of body work on my car this summer. And I've promised her that sooner or later I'll design some decals for the bug - I'm thinking just blades of grass with bugs crawling around in them? - so her Beetle can be cool too!

  7. Yeah, those two look cute together. The hippie decals make the lonely lot seem like a fun place. Hehehe. How are you and C doing? Your cars are definitely artsy! :D

    1. Tyra, C and I are both doing well -me in my new retirement and she busy teaching math to 7th & 8th graders, but I miss seeing her regularly. I stop and visit after school from time to time and draw crazy pictures on her white board for my former students to discover the next day. Thanks for enjoying our happy cars!

  8. These two adorable cars simply represent you and C. The cars look fantastic and so is your friendship. :) Times may not be like what they used to, but at least you still get to see each other. The floral design and the dragonfly print on the SUV look lovely, by the way.
