Fabulous Finger Puppets by grade 6

Since I just began this blog, I've got a year's worth of stuff to share and I'll try to get caught up a little at a time.
These adorable finger puppets were made from plaster bandage earlier this winter.
We greased up our pointer fingers with Vaseline, and wrapped them with a cast of the plaster bandage. Once dry, we added features with low-temp hot glue (styrofoam balls, cereal box cardboard, tin foil, etc, and then covered over with another coat of plaster bandage. Then we painted and embellished with stuff like yarn, fabric, and wiggle eyes. The results were SO creative and fun. In case you can't tell, the photos include an unfinished Mat Hatter, Shawn White on his snowboard, a disco bunny, a waiter and a chef, and more, and puppets not in these photos included everything from ballerinas, rock bands, aliens and characters from movies and books.
