I couldn't resist sharing. This is my favorite kindergarten one-day project, and I've done it every year FOREVER, or at least since I began teaching elementary art in 1985. We use colored paper tape, little sponges for moistening it, scissors, and paper plates. I demo folding, rolling, cutting and twisting the paper tape, and they decorate the back of their plates. I punch holes and string through yarn or ribbon, and poof! They're done!
Hey, Phyl.......I linked to this lesson over on my blog, Art for Itty Bitties. I want to teach this lesson today and didn't want to forget where the idea came from! jan
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my new blog! I responded to your observation that teachers need to give children directions, on my blog; it was a very good observation.
