A favor, dear Pinterest-addicted friends - I do not mind your pinning pics from my blog; I guess I am flattered. But please please please DO NOT pin pics with photos of me (or anyone else). I don't understand WHY you want those photos, but I'm uncomfortable about it being copied all over the place, particularly because the OTHER person in the photo would not be happy; actually would be very UNHAPPY. Think before pinning, friends! Thanks......
Oh, how do you find out what has been pinned from your stuff? Use this URL: http://pinterest.com/source/plbrown.blogspot.com/ and replace my domain name with yours. Thanks Susan Bivona at http://art-on-the-move.blogspot.com/2011/09/whos-been-pinning-your-images-find-out.html for explaining how to do this.
Ha! Love that pic.I've been joking that I need to go to pinner's anonymous. I can understand how you feel about the personal photos. But once we post anything on the internet it is "out there" forever.(I have been hitting this point home to my 15 yr old niece regarding facebook). This is definitely a new frontier. But of course I understand where you're coming from Phyl.
Yeah, Mary, I know anything I post is out there, so I guess the fault is mine for posting the pic. But Pinterest has expanded our community astronomically and I just want people to THINK about what they are pinning.
I literally laughed out loud at this picture! I have anxiety about pinterest... have I pinned this yet? Have I pinned too much? Should I clean out my pins? I feel like a hoarder- I have to pin everything! I'm getting a little anxious just talking about all the things I have left to pin!

ReplyDeleteOh, it 's so hard to choose what to pin and what not to pin.
ReplyDeleteBut if I pin, I use the pictures of the art, not of the teacher or the artist ;-)
Okay. That's just weird. Perhaps there should be an "un-pin" feature for problems like this.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is definitely an addiction! Weird about someone posting your photo, though. So far, that hasn't happened to me.
