Compliments to all my fellow art teacher-bloggers on the beautiful classrooms you have been posting to start the year. You've all done so much work getting ready, and your rooms look fabulous.
In honor of you all, I'm posting complementary colors I've found in nature, mostly of the red (or magenta) and green combo.
To my fellow New Yorkers who start school this week, have a wonderful start to a great year!
I wish more people knew the difference between "compliment" and "complement". :) Does it feel weird to not be going back to your classroom?
ReplyDeleteI've always been a bit of a spelling freak.
DeleteToday the teachers went back in my school and tomorrow is the first day of kids. I kind of feel like I'm taking a sick day and I'll go back next week. It will take some getting used to, I'm sure.
I f I were you, Phyl, I'd buy myself a Venti Mocha Cafe at Starbucks ( or your local beverage dispensary) and sit in the faculty parking lot and wave at everyone as they trudge into work! LOL

Haha Pat! Except I dont drink any sort of coffee and besides, our faculty parking lot is a traffic disaster area. Nobody in their right mind would go through the trouble of sitting there in a parked car! It is long and skinny - like a string bean shape lot - because my school resides within the Adirondack Park, which means it was subject to a bazillion extra building regulations. Every time it rained (during the design phase) a new wetland was declared and as a result we had to build around them and therefore have the world's most dysfunctional parking lot.
