A little bloggy giveaway!

A while back, I expressed my desire for my blog to hit the big round number of 1000 followers.  In response, my readers reminded me that Google Friend Connect is sort of passé, and that many people are now following me through Blogloving or some other reader, and that I probably have a lot more readers than I know.  And I suppose that's true, so I decided not to fret over the almost-round number.  But few days ago I discovered that, while I wasn't paying attention, my numbers had been slowly, quietly creeping up, and I actually had passed my goal of 1000 followers on Google without even noticing!  Right now have reached the grand total of 1002.
So to say thank you to my loyal followers, I'm going to have little giveaway.  If you read my blog a lot, you know that I love to make jewelry, way more than I ever, ever, ever could or would wear.  So I'm going to give away a necklace, possible a necklace/earring set, or maybe even two, and maybe a couple of pairs of earrings as well.  Don't get too excited - I'm not giving away my PMC (precious metal clay) jewelry - that stuff is ridiculously expensive to make and is all MINE.  This stuff is more colorful and fun, but does not include precious metals.  The photos on this post are a sampling of what I have.  While the only earrings pictured here are parts of sets, my collection also consists of many fun individual pairs of earrings, particularly right for someone who likes a dash of color.

Here's what you need to do if you want to take a chance on this giveaway:
  • First of all, if you don't already follow this blog, become a follower.
  • Then, once you are a follower (or if you already were one in the first place) leave a comment.  In the comment you need to tell me the following:
  • An email address to contact you if you win.  (Please feel free to write out the 'dot' and 'at' to avoid spam.  I'll figure it out.)
  • Favorite color schemes/color families for jewelry, including metal preferences (silver, gold, copper toned, etc)
  • Size and style preferences, such as big and chunky or light and delicate?  Prefer longer or shorter or any length? Ears pierced?  Funky or conservative?
  • Also: If there is any piece pictured on this post that particularly suits your taste, please point it out, as it is possible that something pictured here might be what is sent, and if you win, I definitely want you to like and wear what you receive!
  • Leave your comment no later than midnight one week from today, Thursday, June 5th.  A name (or maybe even  two or three) will be selected at random and the winner will be announced on the blog and also contacted via email for mailing information.  If you do not leave an email contact, you are not eligible to win.
Thank you for being loyal readers of my admittedly sometimes quite random blogYou are the best!

  2. What beautiful pieces Phyl!!! So my favorite is the turquoise balls with the light green balls and clear beads. i love blues and greens, prefer something more simple but pretty, I have pierced ears ( 5 piercings to be exact, 3 on one ear and 2 in the other. The kids find it strange that i wear 3 on one side and usually only one earring on the other! I always tell them it's because i'm asymmetrical! My email is:

Right now I'm loving quirky shapes and vibrant interesting use of colour such as lime or fuschia. I don't have a metal preference, just whichever compliments the jewellary best. I like big, chunky, funky statement pieces, usually longer length. However, it really just depends on what catches my eye! Yes my ears are pierced. I love this: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_BtAsxGp5ano/TDTsyCXxjmI/AAAAAAAAA5Y/HXBBr8ZVLTU/s1600/jewelry+002+(2).jpg . On the contrast, here's another set I love too: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_BtAsxGp5ano/TDTsw6n5_mI/AAAAAAAAA5I/dTbzRZloSXQ/s1600/jewelry+007.jpg .

    1. Jessica, I'm absolutely amazed that you found pics of those older pieces I made! I may still have the black and clear piece, not sure; but the pastel sparkly multi-piece was purchased by a substitute teacher in my school! I hope she still likes it! Honestly, I'd forgotten it until you linked the photo, so thanks!

The black and clear piece would be so versatile to contrast against a colorful outfit!

  8. Whoa!! This is quite a collection, Phyl! I hope you are selling them, too. Have you thought about having an Etsy shop or something like that?? Love them all, but really like the 4th picture -- it reminds me of Mondrian:)) email: csavage6atgmaildotcom.

    1. I used to unofficially 'sell' them at school; there are several teachers there who now own quite a few of my necklaces and earrings. But I never really wanted to deal with the tax thing, so I have stayed away from craft fairs (they require tax ID) and Etsy. Now that I'm retired, I still bring a batch to school now and then. One of my biggest clients, a charming custodian who always bought my best statement pieces for his beautiful wife and daughter, retired and moved away. He always came into my room and swiped up all the best stuff before anyone else had a chance to see it!

  11. What amazing creations you have- they are all gorgeous. I am fond of the last one pictured, with the squarish stone , with oranges and grays. I do have pierced ears and I like anything in silver metals and 'neutral ' colors. I like something that is not too long, but has a nice accent piece on it. 12. What beautiful and colorful jewelry! I love how the colors seem to pop out on this page. I recently found your page via bloglovin. It is very difficult to choose a favorite. But the Magenta and black necklace catches my eye..along with the yellow necklace.

  13. I love your creativity, style and the colors you use. Thanks so much for offering such a generous giveaway and Happy Birthday to you! I am following you via GC and Bloglovin - Strange Daze and StrangeDazeIndeed. I love the diversity in the pieces. Colors that I love are purples, blues and blacks. I love the blues and purples above, especially the 16th down! I have contemplated giving away handmade jewelry as well, but, also didn't want to start an etsy shop. I thought maybe I would do giveaways on my blog. We'll see how it all pans out! There is nothing like creativity as it really puts you in touch with your heart and spirit. I love when the art takes over. I love your blog. Thanks again, debra debramp at gmail dot com.
