These wonderfully lumpy pinch pots are my kindergartner's first opportunity to work with clay. Keep in mind that I do NOT have a kiln, so these are made with Marblex air-dry clay. (It is a pale gray color when unpainted.) I had the wee kiddos paint them with school acrylics as it gives the air dry clay a little extra strength. If they look really small, that's because they are. Their little kindergarten hands just were not ready to make anything bigger at this point. We'll get there! :-)
In the meantime, they are so so proud and they know Mommy will just LOVE their creations!
I love these! I have our pinch pots ready to be painted from the Kindergarteners too and I was thinking WOW these are tiny! I only gave them a small piece of clay because it was their first attempt to MAKE something. Before we just played with clay. I was actually really excited that they followed along and all made a pinch pot in the 1/2 hour ( I only get to see them for a 1/2 hour at a time.) Inspired to paint now!
