Having fun with James Rizzi

My 2nd graders are loving the work of James Rizzi, who I had never heard of until reading blogs last year, especially Kristyn's blog Her Dabbles, where she has numerous Rizzi posts. His work is so child-friendly and fun, and my 2nd graders are making silly cars using old CD for wheels. Most of them aren't quite done, but I couldn't resist giving you an advance peek.

The people in Rizzi's cars have nice big heads filling the windows, with big eyes. But honestly, my kiddos got so into making the cars, that I had trouble getting them to make their people larger (and their eyes larger too). But I love the cars they are making anyhow!

  2. Phil, Thanks for the post about the SchoolArts Article. I have to say, I'm surprised that you have never sent in an article. You have so many amazing and original idea. There are many people that admire what you do. You should find some time to write something up. The only problem will be choosing from so many successes! Hope you get to spend the holidays with your son. Have a great weekend.
