My 3rd graders weren't going to have a lot of time to get this done, so I came up with a quickie project for the fundraiser, "My Home is my Castle". Kids invented castles using Sharpies and no pre-drawing, and then painted with watercolors. Some are still works-in-progress.
Don't you love the "jail place" and "laptop room" in the picture above on the right?
Wow, Phyl. These look wonderful. A simple idea with fantastic outcome...love, love, love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great lesson, and a great title: My home is my castle.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! So creative! I am sure this one will make it's way around the blog circuit. I definitely want to make one!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to get on here for a while. I can't wait to check it out at home (I can't view images at work, just text). I wanted to make sure you saw my last post to your response so I am placing it on your blog too...
ReplyDeletePhyl... Communicating in text is always hard. I hope people read my text in the most positive way, that is ALWAYS how I intend it! I feel you are the same way. It is OK to have a conversation, differences, pet peeves:), I enjoy it, welcome it and encourage it!
